Frequently asked questions
What can I expect in the first session?
The first session is gentle and at your pace. There’s no pressure to explain everything or get it ‘right.’ You’re welcome to bring notes, ask questions, or share whatever feels important. You can unmask, fidget, move around, wear comfy clothes, or use any supports that help you feel safe and at ease. We’ll talk about what brings you here and how we might work together but simply getting a feel for the space is more than enough to begin.

Do I need a formal diagnosis to work with you?
No. You don’t need a formal diagnosis to access support. Whether you’re diagnosed, self-identifying, or simply wondering if you might be Autistic, ADHD or AuDHD, you are welcome here. We go at your pace, and there’s no need to explain everything upfront.
Do you offer online sessions across Australia?
Yes. I offer online therapy to clients in all states and territories of Australia via secure telehealth. Whether you're in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, Hobart, or Darwin, or in a rural or regional area, you can access neuro-affirming psychological support from the comfort of your own space.
What does ‘neuro-affirming psychologist’ mean?
Neuro-affirming means I understand that brains are wired differently and that’s not a problem to fix. It’s a valid and meaningful way of being and an essential part of the greater diversity of life. Therapy here isn’t about masking or becoming more ‘neurotypical’ it’s about understanding your experience, validating it, and working with your strengths and needs.
Can I access Medicare rebates?
Yes. If you have a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP, you're eligible for Medicare rebates. Sessions are $230 with a rebate of $96.65 per session.
Do you work with NDIS participants?
Yes, I work with self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants. NDIS sessions are $230 for 60 minutes plus admin time.
Do you offer support for children or couples?
No. My work is focused on supporting adult women and gender-diverse individuals navigating neurodivergence later in life.

Are there any services you do not offer?

Can I book a free consultation?
Yes. You can book a free 15-minute intro call, there’s no pressure or expectation. It’s a chance to ask questions, get a feel for the space, and see if it feels comfortable for you. You’re encouraged to bring a support person or use notes if that helps you feel at ease.
